Can I use Great Stuff foam to add extra insulation to my hot tub? I just recently got a 2005 Superior Spa that holds about 450 gallons. Most of the inside already has spray foam insulation on it, but the two access panels(which account for about 1/4 of the skirt surface area) have no insulation. The skirt and access panels are made of wooden planks. I wanted to add insulation to the access panels and maybe some more to the rest of it. Any problems using great stuff for this?

I used great stuff for the exact same thing and it worked well. The only caution I would give you is near the end switch to low expansion foam to finish. You don’t want to warp your skirting. Good luckRichard

I would use the “Blue” type designed for windows and doors. It does not expand excessively and will likely perform well for this application.Hope that helps!

Sure you can. It can be messy but doable. If you spray too much in an area, just allow it to set up and trim it with a knife. Don’t attempt to do it while it is still soft.

Instead of the death penalty, why can’t we have labor camps for convicted felons and murderers? I’m a death penalty opponent, but that doesn’t mean I’m soft on crime. I don’t think pondscum like Charles Manson and Charles Jaynes and Richard Allen Davis should have a nice comfortable little cell with air-conditioning and Direct TV.
Well there’s is the saying that an eye for an eye would make the whole world blind but a life for labor is wrong.

There are plenty of felons to do hard labor if you murder someone you should get the chair the day after court!

We do.Ever hear of the sheriff work crew, community service hours, etc.?We don’t have that stuff for convicted murderers and violent criminals, though, but that’s because it’s generally not a good idea to give lunatics large hand tools, or to parade them around on the side of the road with just a few guards. Also, the Direct TV and AC have their place. When you lock up large numbers of criminals in one place in the heat and don’t give them anything to do, you get the perfect environment for a prison riot, escape attempts and inmate fights, as they’re all irritable because they’re bored and hot.If they can watch TV and be comfortable they, and the people that deal with them, are a lot safer, and in many ways keeping them in prison is cheaper.

I think we should have labor camps for all prisoners, murderers or not! Why should they lay around watching T.V. all day? The worst of them should be executed appeal allowed. That would empty a few cells!

prison labor would be considered cruel and unusual punishments by today’s standards. prisoner in both the federal and state systems have a long list of rights. you can thank your liberal congressman for treating inmates as “victims” instead of prisoners.

One big reason is that on average it cost tax payers one million dollars a for each criminal that held in prison for a life time. thats a lot of money when there are so many felons in the criminal system. and either way many criminals already are put to work with community service and labor. Just depends on the crime, judge that presides over the case, and the lawyers.

Do you really think that would deter Charles Manson from killing again? C’mon, the dude was a homeless bum who “camped” everywhere, including the desert. That wouldn’t be anything to him. All that would do is put the lives of other inmates and correctional officers in jeapardy. Would you watch over that work crew with your can of mase? Doubt it.

Good songs to play at a 50th birthday party? I’m dj’ing a 50th birthday. I normally play trance and dance but I’m playing some variety of stuff. What are good songs that people want to hear that are regularly requested at parties? Thanks.
The Foundations – Build Me Up Buttercup, they’ll all know it, they’ll all love it no matter what generation!

I would say Long Cool Woman In a Black dress-The HolliesMaybe some Later BeatlesSmoke on the water just to name a few

play some songs from that time era, 60s and 70s rock songs, a few updated songs from today(for some of the younger crowd and believe me some older sones will probably dance), some common line dance songs( lime Cupid Shuffle, electric slide) along with a few requests. toss in a few disco songs too-like KC& the Sunshine band and the Gap band. don’t forget some slow songs and of course Happy Birthday song too! 😉

Well, if a lot of 50 year-old people will be there, you need to go with some old classic party songs that younger people probably already know too. You also have to play lots of different styles so there’s something for everybody. Here are some suggestions: Should I Stay Or Should I Go? – The Clash Down On The Corner – Creedence Clearwater Revival In Between Days – The Cure Golden Years – David Bowie Listen To The Music – The Doobie Brothers Pump It Up – Elvis Costello Twist and Shout – The Beatles You Dropped A Bomb On Me – The Gap Band Sweet Child O’ Mine – Guns N’ Roses Lust For Life – Iggy Pop Shout Part 1 – The Isley Brothers I Got You – James BrownMy Sharona – The Knack Long Tall Sally – Little Richard Sweet Home Alabama – Lynyrd Skynyrd I Melt with You – Modern English I’m a Believer – The Monkees Hey Ya – Outkast Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic – The Police Brown Eyed Girl – Van Morrison Low Rider – War Back In Black – AC/DC Walk This Way – Aerosmith Tired Of Being Alone – Al Green Rock Lobster – The B-52’s I Saw Her Standing There – The Beatles One Love/People Get Ready – Bob Marley & The Wailers Cannonball – The Breeders Bye Bye Love – The Cars Close To Me – The Cure Alone Again Or – The Damned Love Her Madly – Doors Sing A Song – Earth Wind & Fire Jailhouse Rock – Elvis Presley Mirror In The Bathroom – The English Beat Jump Around – House of Pain Are You Gonna Be My Girl – JET Jack & Diane – John Mellencamp Dancing in the Moonlight – King Harvest You Really Got Me – The Kinks Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough – Michael Jackson It’s The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine) – R.E.M.
