How do you get a urine smell out of your couch and rug? My daughters friend stayed over a couple days ago, and bless her heart, she had an accident while sleeping on my couch. Now my couch and rug, where it leaked also, smell of urine, BAD. I washed the couch covers in the washer and scrubed the couch and the rug down, but I can still smell the urine. I was wondering, is there something I could buy, like a spray (tried frebreeze, don’t work) or cleaner that can help take out the smell?

There are a number of cleaners on the market but they are geared toward pet urine. I think if the product can clean and deodorize the proteins in pet urine it should handle human urine beautifully. Give it a try! They are often available in spot cleaners too. You can get them at any Walmart or other department store.

What you will need to do is at either Walmart or Lowes, buy an Enzyme cleaner. It’s usually in with carpet cleaning solutions. The urine smell on your couch is in the cushions. The spongy part. Spray the cushions with the enzyme, let it sit, then rinse really well. Rewash your couch covers also. Urine is a protein that feeds off the moisture in the air. The only way to kill the protein within the urine is with an enzyme. As far as your carpet (if on floor with pad), spray the enzyme on the specific area, put plastic over it so no air can get to it for 24 hours. Once you’ve done that, use a steam cleaner (like rug doctor) and clean the carpet. If it’s not a huge area, you may can spray the enzyme then use a sponge with water to soak the area, then blot (do not rub) with a towel until damp, then set a fan to blow on the wet area until dry.

this is for cat urine but it should workHow to Clean Cat Urine OdorsCat urine has earned a reputation for being one of the most formidable of all pet odors. It not only smells horrible, but has a very persistent odor that must be removed entirely. Leaving any trace of it is an invitation for your kitty to re-mark the same area over and over again. Most commercially available pet-odor removers are expensive and also unnecessary unless you’re dealing with an aged urine stain or a fragile fabric. You will need:Rubber GlovesTowelsScrub BrushA BowlWarm WaterDish DetergentWhite VinegarBaking SodaRemoving Cat Urine from CarpetCaution: Test this method on an inconspicuous area first to make sure it doesn’t cause damage or discoloration.Remove as much of the urine as possible by blotting the stain with a dry towel, re-wetting it with warm water, and repeating. A shampooer, wetvac, or steamer can make this step much easier. Once you’ve removed as much urine as you are willing (or able) to, re-saturate the area with a 50/50 water/white vinegar solution and allow it to air dry (use a fan if you’re in a rush). Completely cover the area with baking soda – use lots! Fill a container with enough water to saturate the stained area and add a drop of regular dish detergent. Pour the solution on top of the baking soda. Using either your hands, towels, or a scub brush, work the baking soda, water and detergent paste into the carpet – work it in good and deep, then allow it to air dry. Once the area has dried completely and the baking soda has returned to powder form, vacuum it up. If the vacuum isn’t cutting it, it can be blotted up using water and towels. Repeat steps 3-6 as needed to remove any remaining odor. Sponsored Links for: Cat Urine Odors [What’s This?]Remove Cat Urine Smell Instantly Instantly Remove Cat Urine Odor. Read Reviews. Where is a good store to buy a microwave? I’ve already looked at Home Depot, Sears, Best Buy, Lowes, JCPenny.
I think any of those stores would be fine. There are many relatively good cheap microwave ovens on the market these days.

You will be surprised with this answer but WALMART- they are the lowest prices and carry a huge selection of microwaves- I got a new one last year for under $50 and it is great–also if you don’t know this, if you see a manufacturer microwave advertised say at best buy or lowes and you go to walmart and they have it and it’s even a penny more- just show them the ad and they will match that price—this really comes in handy on sundays when all the drugstores advertise their products for the week- i go to walmart and get whatever I need and get the price in the flyers for the other stores-it sure beats running around to 4 different drugstores.

You have already looked at good stores.you might also try WalMart. Recommend an 1100 watt unit. That is what most microwave recipes and frozen food cooking instructions are based on.
