Blondie-Call Me

An excellent video of Blondie mega hit Call Me.

Do you have any odd pet peeves? I’d love to know what they are.Mine are people who don’t bother to learn proper names of songs (Such as calling Baba O’Reilly “Teenage Wasteland”) and people who think the name of a band is the actually the lead singers stage name. (Such as calling Deborah Harry “Blondie” or Mick Hucknall “Simply Red”)

Anybody agree Blondie should have called it a day after The Hunter? My favourite albums are the debut and Plastic Letters but for some reason i can’t stand No Exit. I don’t think any song from it is good, the music is boring and Deborah Harry’s voice sounds bad. It annoys me that ‘Maria’ is more well known than ones like ‘Detroit 442’ or ‘Youth nabbed as sniper’ Anyone think the same?
Where do you get your news and how do you know it’s not propaganda from your government? “The Central Intelligence Agency owns everyone of any significance in the major media.” — William Colby, former CIA Director, quoted by Dave Mcgowan, Derailing Democracy”You could get a journalist cheaper than a good call girl, for a couple hundred dollars a month.” — CIA operative, discussing the availability and prices of journalists willing to peddle CIA propaganda and cover stories. Katherine the Great, by Deborah Davis”There is quite an incredible spread of relationships. You don’t need to manipulate Time magazine, for example, because there are [Central Intelligence] Agency people at the management level.” — William B. Bader, former CIA intelligence officer, briefing members of the Senate Intelligence Committee, The CIA and the Media, by Carl Bernstein”The Agency’s relationship with [The New York] Times was by far its most valuable among newspapers, according to CIA officials. [It was] general Times policy . to provide assistance to the CIA whenever possible.””Senator William Proxmire has pegged the number of employees of the federal intelligence community at 148,000 . though Proxmire’s number is itself a conservative one. The “intelligence community” is officially defined as including only those organizations that are members of the U.S. Intelligence Board (USIB); a dozen other agencies, charged with both foreign and domestic intelligence chores, are not encompassed by the term. The number of intelligence workers employed by the federal government is not 148,000, but some undetermined multiple of that number.” — Jim Hougan, Spooks”For some time I have been disturbed by the way the CIA has been diverted from its original assignment. It has become an operational and at times a policy-making arm of the government. I never had any thought that when I set up the CIA that it would be injected into peacetime cloak and dagger operations.” — former President Harry Truman, 22 December 1963, one month after the JFK assassination, op-ed section of the Washington Post, early edition (this was in 1963..imagine how much they have consolidated their gains since then)”I want to splinter the CIA in a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds.” — former President John F. Kennedy
I read a variety of newspapers, they each have a different slant and report of the issues. The best weekly periodical for major issues and world events is The Economist. A British publication. Which has no problem in slamming any government or politician who deserves such. Although generally supportive of capitalism and free enterprise, this publication did prefer Obama over McCain in the 2008 election.

infowars.comrt.comRT is very critical of the US, being a Russian government funded news station. You won’t get any of this kind of criticism from American media.

Yahoo is increasingly unwilling to accept my more thorough answers on what the banking cartel that controls the CIA, major media and numerous other organizations is up to so I’ll tone it down a bit.Your best bet is to team up with a group who knows what these people are up to and is doing something about it:…Yes, it is scary. But something CAN be done about it. And you can help.“The inability of the colonists to get power to issue their own money permanently out of the hands of George III and the international bankers was the prime reason for the Revolutionary War.” – Benjamin Franklin (US politician and founding father)”Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an INvisible government owing NO allegiance and acknowledging NO responsibility to the people. To destroy this invisible government, to befoul this unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics is the first task of the statesmanship of today.” President Theodore Roosevelt, 1906 “History records that the money changers have used every form of abuse, intrigue, deceit, and violent means possible to maintain their control over governments by controlling money and its issuance.” – James Madison (4th US President)”The real menace of our republic (the US is a repulic, not a democracy) is this invisible government which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy length over city, state and nation. Like the octopus of real life, it operates under cover of a self created screen. At the head of this octopus are the Rockefeller Standard Oil interests and a small group of powerful banking houses generally referred to as international bankers. The little coterie of powerful international bankers virtually run the US government for their own selfish purposes. They practically control both political parties.”John F. Hylan, Mayor New York 1918-1925″The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the large centers has owned the government of the U.S. since the days of Andrew Jackson.” Franklin D. Roosevelt”The government, which was designed for the people, has got into the hands of the bosses and their employers, the special interests. An invisible empire has been set up above the forms of democracy.” & “We have restricted credit, we have restricted opportunity, we have controlled development, and we have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the world. no longer a government of free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and a vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of small groups of dominent men.” -Woodrow Wilson
